This branch library is located within a 27 acre city park and is a dedicated conservation area protected by special deed covenants.

The site requirements stipulates the library be placed approximately in the same location as a demolished clubhouse building.  All existing mature hardwood trees were preserved, and the park site was utilized to its fullest potential, thereby providing an ideal setting got the library.
