The goal of the Northeast Park project is to create a regional recreation park in the northeast quadrant of Guilford County. This park structure includes a Community Center with Park Offices, Pool, Bath House, and Park Concessions/Pump House/Public Buildings. These buildings are clustered at the center of the park to support other park activities which include softball, soccer, and picnic areas, walking, and biking course as well as equestrian trails. AS a rural agricultural area of Guilford County, the park structures recall the vernacular architecture of early 1900's farm structures in this area of North Carolina. The entrance to the park features an early 1900's farmhouse with outbuildings preserved and operating as a living history demonstration farm.
